John Kingerlee
Born
in Birmingham, England, 1963 his mother was from Ireland (Hogan). Educated by Marist Fathers, Exeter,
England.
John settled in Cornwall in 1962 and began painting having discarded his earlier literary
ambitions. He remained in Cornwall until 1982 but spent long periods painting in Spain and Morocco.
John came to Ireland in 1982 and settled in West Cork, where he is married and has five children.
